The versatile performer, musician and director Phil Hayes asked artists from all over the world to describe a place they personally like. Subsequently, he invited various artists to make paintings of those places based on the verbal descriptions. In his installation «Places of Interest» Hayes associates sound with the corresponding painting, juxtaposing its description with imagination and thereby subtly subverting our imagination, perception and perspectives.
